Circle W Sports' History

Circle W Sports began unofficially in August 2006, when owner Ed Weaver began coaching football at Wellsboro Area High School. Ed always wanted the chance to view his season statistics, but did not have the option. As a way of giving back, Ed is hoping to get recognition for the Wellsboro Football program by making statistics, scores, and information available to the local community, college recruiters, and football fans throughout the world.

After the success of WellsboroFootball.com, WellsboroAthletics.com was started in August of 2010 to capitalize off that success and expand to cover all sports in the Wellsboro Area School District. Since 2006, WellsboroFootball.com has been viewed 595,900 times and since 2010, WellsboroAthletics.com has had 840,210 views. Circle W Sports focuses its efforts into four areas: school districts and teams, club/travel teams, sports organizations, and the media.
